College Life..

When I was in high school everything was so easy, my parents provided me with everything but nothing was ever enough, the cup is always half empty. Thinking back the school work was really easy, and these test they would give us were extremely easy as well. Being a current college student I look back and really wish I wasn't so lazy. I started great my freshman year and was a "straight A" student, then came my sophomore year and I started to slack off, junior year I became a pro at being a slacker, senior year I realized that I have to be successful in life and had to get my act together. I was able to gradate with a 3.0 GPA barley.......I wanted to leave Florida, I wanted to leave everything and start fresh again. I got accepted to the University of Hartford so of course I went, with the help of scholarships and Sallie Mae on my side. Once I was there I really regretted it, I had friends from class and my dorm building but I felt alone. Nearly everyday of my life I would sit with my family for dinner and share thoughts and laughter together, now 17 years later that was gone. What I missed more was the love from my mom. My mom has been there for me every single time I've needed her, my rock my true love, even though I don't always show it. So I ended coming back to the sunshine state and enrolling in college here, now this is were my true journey begins.
I started college pretty easy not worrying about anything and trying to take it as easy as possible. Taking one or two classes at a time, it was great, stress free! I've been working full time and wasting time when I realized I need to step it up and finish ASAP! So I did, I became a full time student. I'm proud to say that I completed my first full time semester successfully and made it to the Deans List. No it was not hard, what was the hardest is actually trying to balance my social life with college and college with work and work with study time. Taking five classes having to give each one of them there own time to make sure I can pass the test. Unlike grade school were you have class work, home work, and tests, in college all I have is about 6 test a semester and that's what determines my grade. In one class all I had was a mid-term and a final that was it. I go to class listen to lecture, take really good notes, go home read the chapter, do the chapter quizzes, and whatever I wasn't sure I would look it up online.
I rarely have time to go out with friends like I used to, no more clubs, movies and parties but on the bright side I've saved a lot of money on not going out. One huge downfall is that these textbooks are expensive!  Thankfully I won a scholarship and I don't have to pay for classes but textbooks are out of pocket. My mind and thoughts have expanded from learning more and more, this is only the beginning and dreams will be dreams if no actions are made. Either go big or go home, if you don't win you lose. That's my motivation and I won't stop because I can't stop. Graduation is attainable for me now. I start summer semester on Monday, no rest, but money doesn't sleep so why would I?

Crushed.

So not to long ago I told you about a girl that I was crushing, truth is nothing happend.  Another girl came along, we had been talking for along time, actually 5 months and then we stopped because there's another girl that I really liked but she ended up going to Costa Rica and we stopped talking:( So me and this other girl started talking again the one from five months ago, and we went to see spiderman 2 Thursday at night and afterwards we went to the beach. It was about 2am when we got to the beach, and of course no one just goes to the beach at this time for no reason. We started making out then took it to the car. We had a romantic night under the moon and stars, it was an amazing feeling knowing that it was only me and her on the beach I felt special and made sure she felt special as well. After we were done I took her home  and I felt different. I want to meet someone new, someone I actually relate too.  I just have to much on my mind.

I'm crushing...

There's always that one girl that catches my attention, but this time it's a different girl who I never thought I would like. When I go to work I'm not going to impress anybody or to look for a relationship, I'm there simply to make money and go home.  So there's this girl who I won't mention her name but I'm crushing on her. I noticed her to late though, I left my previous job about a week ago to work as the IT person at an Elementary school, which is actually pretty cool. Anyways back to this girl, she is beautiful in my eyes, she is
funny, intelligent and has a brusque demeanor, which I adore haha. When we worked together I would see her from a distance and not really talk to her or even pay attention to her, but one day I did and from that day on I would always find any excuse to talk to her or just bother her. Now when I was with her I felt like we had a type of connection, a mutual bond perhaps but what I noticed is that when she would talk to other guys it seemed like she had the same attitude toward them too. I was confused and of course jealous. But I still tried to give her signals to let her know "hey! I'm interested in you!" So my last day of work came and I got her seven digits and I waited to text her, now when I texted her it took her over 8 hours to text back?? Sure she's a busy person but who doesn't have a minute to reply, the thing is I don't want to sound like a loser who keeps on texting and annoys the hell out of you. So I used twitter and I tweeted her for awhile but uhhhh I don't see this going anywhere. I sure don't want to keep my hopes up but if I don't do anything, nothing will ever happen and I will always live with regret. So tomorrow i will ask her out on a date. Now the awkward thing is I'm unsure if I should call her or text her? Like no one really calls, but calling sounds necessary but what if she doesn't pick up? Now if I text her, how long do I have to wait for a reply? Well only the future holds the answers to my questions.
Well I'll keep you posted!

Who is "BLegend"?

BLegend is my stage name, short and sweet. The origins of this mysterious alter ego date back to the good old high school days in 2010. I was interested in this so called rap "game" but didn't know to much about it, nor did I have lyrics or any material. I knew I was good at poetry and loved to write, so I wrote a few poems, with a rhythm in my mind. In my 4th Period class there was a classmate who's name was Corey. We knew each other from our sophomore year which we had a class together, I don't remember the situation but rap came up and he said he wrote lyrics. I was stunned! He took out his hipster top of the line iPhone 3G and showed me some of the lyrics he had a wrote in his notes. I was amazed, I saw the way they were wrote and from that day forward my lyric days began.
I started gathering a hefty amount of lyrics writing down rhymes that would come to my mind, even though they didn't make sense. Corey and I were doing text freestyles which improved my lyrics. It was probably the coolest thing at that time for me. About a month later we wanted to get serious and take the first step on the ladder by recording a song. So we did.
I went over Corey's house and using his laptop we played the beat, using his iPhone recorder we recorded. Was it great? Of course!! This was a song that I would never forget. It was so simple and unplanned the worst quality but it spawned the future.
Now in 2013 almost 3 years of BLegend being born, I am proud to say that BLegend and Tripple C(Corey) are back we have now established our selves as "Rivals"- the name of our rap duo. For the past 3 months we have been working on our first mixtape as "rivals". The release should be by July of 2013. And yes I plan it being a huge impact in our areas. After all BLegend only released one song in 2012 that was recorded in 2011. I have recorded over 50 songs in the past years and I have only released about 25% of them. 2013 is the year of my return even though BLegend has never left.

The Amazing Spiderman..Amazing?

Just came back from the movies with my brother and friend, we saw the amazing Spiderman. Growing up The Amazing Spider-man was one of my most favorite cartoon, it was funny, cool, and just plain awesome. The movies was different, since we already all had a perspective how spiderman was suppose to be- from the other 3 movies that were made in the past. The movie was good, alot of the cartoon features, it felt like the actual cartoon but it was 3D and so high tech. Another cool kick was the Spidy moves, one of my favorite concept of this new spiderman was its personality, Spiderman had a character, he had a sense of humor. Overall I wont miss Toby being spider-man, Its a must go for any cartoon fan to go, not the best it could have been but certainly a good jump-start.
-Tomorrow I will do a full in depth Review

Recent Break up - A Month Ago

About a little over a year I met a girl at a party, didn't really talk to her or even say hi to her, but she did happen to catch my attention, all I knew was her name and mutual friends, what I did was add her on facebook. I heard so many things about her, that she wasn't faithful that she lied, that she was a no good dirty girl who didnt respect anybody including her self. I thought to myself could all this non sense be true, I wanted to find out, so I did- Big mistake. Three months in of being facebook friends she received a message from me, a simple "hey" which meant a million words in my mind. We exchanged messages, smiles and friendly words, off to good start but I wanted more, asked for her number and talked for like an hour that night. Little did I know she had a boyfriend. So months go by shes being "faithful" to her boyfriend by ignoring me completely. I got a job at local low end supermarket, getting paid pennies to burn off calories. About also 3 months she gets a job there too being a cashier, I made my moves, and boy I'll tell you the easiest girl ever to get with, she wasn't a 10 on my scale more like a 7 but she sure did pass time. So in about two weeks of just talking to her she was my girlfriend. Was I proud? Not really she was known as a "hoe" to many people, she thought I was stupid and that I didn't know what she was doing at school( since shes still in high school). Her Maturity level about everything was about a 5, her body was like 7.5, Sure I know I'm no where near perfect but I do respect me and my body. So I was nice to her, treated her right and never tried to get anything out of her, It was a real roller coaster ride, I was enjoying the highs even though I knew they weren't going to last. Honestly I did like her, would I fight for her of course not. About 3 months in the relationship I gave up on her, I clearly just wanted her to break up with me, never texted her, just stop caring when she caught up, I put on my Tony Award into practice. "Baby I'm sorry I'll change I know I haven't been treating you the same, I'm sorry". I would say that for courtesy. I knew I just had to hold on until her birthday June 10, pretty awesome, my master plan not tell her happy birthday and not waste money on a gift for her. It worked! She got mad and came out of the closet saying She loved her boyfriend. Of course that person wasn't me it was her "ex". It didn't hurt me because I had already gave up on her. My experiences made me realize that just because a girl has a cute face doesn't mean shes a cute girl. I digged deep into her, I saw the way she lied to me, all her rebudles and excuses. Why her phone wasn't working because it was "wet", when in reality she got it taken away because she had gotten caught sneaking out of her house, And I was the one who told her parents- haha classic. When she said I had trust issues, when in reality I would see her walking with her ex after school and holding hands. It was really fun, getting to know her and sharing nice moments, and watching her lie to me. No I wasn't being ignorant I was experimenting with nature. So I wont make the mistake to go out with a girl like that, don't want to live another soap opera, just glad mine doesn't have a second season.

B-legend was dead.

In December 2011, after a year of rapping and releasing unfinished ,Quick, different music, I decided to take a break and focus on work school and practice and what I should have done from the start. Writing punch lines and rhymes any where I could jot them. After 6 months in June 2012 "Dreamer" was released after 8 months it was recorded. Big break? NO. How many people streamed it? Only 13.  Should i quit? No of course not. I'm working on something bigger and just doing me. So expect something big, expect something legendary.
